Pb2 and what to do!

507-0001I have recently discovered one of my new favorite products that you may or may not be interested in! It’s called PB2, a powdered peanut butter-when mixed with water is just like the real thing. HOWEVER, it’s only 45 calories per two tablespoons and about 13 calories from fat! That’s a much different nutritional value than the regular 190 calories per two table spoons from the regular stuff. PB2 also doesn’t use bad chemical processes or preservatives. This PB2 takes most of the fat out of the peanut butter and Dr. Oz even recommends it!

I love my peanut butter, I put it in and on everything from toast, bananas eggs, celery, carrots, chicken and burgers, oatmeal, yogurt, cookies, and smoothies/protein shakes! I recently have had a thing for cold bananas and peanut butter. With PB2 I can add much more peanut butter on my bananas without feeling like I’m indulging as much with the lower calories and fat. PB2 goes great in my vanilla or chocolate protein shakes because it’s less messy!IMG_2494

I haven’t tried it yet, but I really look forward to using this product in my baking- I love peanut butter cookies, and I know that this powder will be a benefit to my health and body compared to all of the fats used in the regular one! Don’t get me wrong, peanut butter is great for you because of all of the oils that provide healthy benefits, but if you’re a peanut butter

addict…sometimes too much peanut butter isn’t very healthy for you. That’s why I recommend trying out this PB2 powder.  Another thing to use this PB2 is to stir it in your oatmeal, it’s perfect and you can add it before or after you heat it up, it all depends on your preference.

I’ve only had it for about a week or so – and it’s almost gone. I will definitely have to grab a couple or order a larger quantity online. I hear that they have a chocolate flavor too…I love my sweets, so I will check that one out soon! Let me know if you’ve tried this product or what you do with it!

    • I hope you like it! I will admit it doesn’t have the “exact” taste of peanut butter, but it definitely has a great roasty flavor and is a great substitute for the real one. thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

  1. Have you tried plain peanut powder?? It’s delicious as well. It has no added sweeteners or sodium! I have had both and think the flour lasts longer dor the price! Check it out on my blog.. There’s a link in my post today!

    • I haven’t seen it at many local grocery stores, but I know that is it is at GNC or maybe whole foods. It’s prettty cheap on like for about $3-4 a can! I won’t say it tastes the “exact” same, it is a more roasty flavor, but it’s definitely amazing! I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by. have a great day!

      • I just went grocery shopping today and found it in the organic section of our Fred Meyer. Sweet! Thanks for the recommendation. It really is cheap. I just tried some and gotta say, it’s a pretty decent replacement. I definitely see what you’re saying about the roasty flavor and I think it would go well with other foods rather than all by itself.

  2. I have mixed feelings about PB2..I liked it mixed in yogurt and used it a little in baking, but any other way (toast, spread on an apple) I’ve gotta have the real thing! It just didnt have that real peanut butter taste to me :/ I would like to try the chocolate though!

    • aw shucks, I’ve definitely been using it to dip in my apples and bananas lately. It tastes so good with the roasty flavor! I can’t wait to try the chocolate, thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day.

    • I won’t say it taste the “exact” same because I would be lying. It definitely has a more nature and roast flavor, the texture can be similar to almond butter. It’s probably a personal preference depending on if someone likes it because I’m sure many people don’t. I love it though and have been using it on everything and I love the fact that there is much less fat in it than peanut butter.I think you should give it a shot, there are a lot of uses for it out there with many recipes that use peanut butter!

  3. I am probably the BIGGEST nut butter addict there is- I’ve been known to go through a jar of the stuff in literally 3 days, and find a way to use it in everything!
I’ve recently discovered almond butter, which is amazing, and much better for me without the added sugar and salts of the usual peanut butter I use.

I live in Australia, so we don’t have this PB2 stuff here! But I’ve read about it on blogs, and it sounds like heaven- less fat and calories, and can be used in baking, smoothies, etc… all the good stuff ;)

How would you use it on toast, do you mix it with water??

    Kloe x

    • haha, peanut butter and all nut butters are great, that’s why I love this one. Almond butter is amazing added to oatmeal or used on fruits like bananas and apples! I believe that you can buy it on their online store! I would definitely mix it with a little bit of water and then spread it out on toast. I hope their is something similar you could try in Australia if you don’t buy it online, it’s a great substitute for those of us who love their peanut butter and can’t get enough of it :) have a great day kloe & thank you for stopping by!

  4. I love this stuff in my smoothies! I am trying a different brand right now that had “organic” all over the label. Now I can have my peanut butter and lose weight too! 8)

  5. mmmm PB2 is delicious! its such a god send haha!
i pretty much use mine in everything and anything; i stir it into greek yoghurt and protein powder and freeze for a couple of hours to make peanut butter ice cream!
i ve tried the chocolate variety but i dont think its as nice as the original it doesnt have as strong a nutty flavour :(

    • i’ve heard that combination and will definitely be trying it this week. i gave up ice cream for lent, so it will have to be my healthy replacement :) thanks for stopping by, hope you have an awesome day!

  7. I’ve never seen this before! I am also a huge PB fan, I have started making my own using roasted, unsalted peanuts in my Vitamix, but this might be another good option to try. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

  8. I love Pb2, it’s my new addiction! I use it pretty much every day in my yogurt, oatmeals and smoothies! I haven’t tried it in baking yet though, and I still use regular peanut butter when it comes to making sandwiches but I use a lot less. How is it on sandwiches? I feel like it would be too thin and liquidy.
